Deliciously plump and juicy cherries grown under the increasingly hot and persistent British sun. I painted these as soon as I got home from the farm shop because they were as red as heart’s blood, plump with promise. And I swore not to eat one until I got something down in paint, which is probably why it’s a small oil sketch.
